I guess this would fall under the category of advertisement. it is sort of a spoof commercial for the Kindle, that pokes fun at the product. it pretty much says that kindle is only useful if you are a crazy person who needs to carry around hundreds of books wherever you go. It's pretty funny and about a product we discussed in class.

I think the Kindle is kind of narrow marketed. Sure its great for reading books, but thats all it can do. Something like an iPhone, or even an iPod touch can do that plus thousands of other useful things, for about the same price. And this guy makes a point, how many people really need more than 2 or 3 books at a time. When I went to europe for a month, most people only read 2-3 books, and the ones who read more just swapped with other people.
ReplyDeleteThey are really trying to push for this kindle. I think it has definitely lost most of its glitter already. For me, nothing beats having an actual copy of a book in my hands and actually turning paper pages. It's already annoying enough to have electronic textbooks for me. I think it's actually harder to learn from an electronic textbook. Especially when it's for a class that refers to a lot of tables in a bunch of different places in the book.
