I have never gotten a flu shot in my life and I am not starting now. Most people who do get the shot, have some type of side effect, whether it is a slight illness or another reaction. Just one of those decisions that everyone has to make with regards to getting the shot or not.

I also have never gotten a flu shot. My roommates al had wanted to go and get it but I told them I would not. Every person I know that has gotten it in the past has some sort of cold afterwards and it seems like it defeats the purpose of getting it.

This isn't the only story about severe negative side effects. I read a story about another teenager who developed Guillain-Barre syndrome and will require intense physical therapy to get his muscle control back. The condition is extremely rare according to doctor's but it doesn't seem worth the risk since I don't usually get a flu shot anyway.
