We talked about product placement in movies during class. This is an example of guerilla marketing that the NFL just recently banned, and advertising using sports. The campaign started by Captain Morgan was discovered and stopped by the NFL. There was a pose struck by Brent Celek, TE of the Eagles like Captain Morgan.

  1. I do like that Captain Morgan is trying to raise money for charity, but there are plenty of other ways to do this. If advertising during a sporting event was allowed, I know I would probably get so fed up with all of the "subtle" advertisements and wouldn't watch anymore.

  2. I completely agree with the NFL in banning on-field advertising. If they allowed Captain Morgan to advertise like that on field, all other companies would try and do the same thing. I feel like this could potentially ruin the game. If Captain Morgan wants to advertise, they should purchase a spot for commercials.
