Here is an article from CNN.com talking about a few congressional races worth watching. I found it interesting that the district we are in, New York's 23rd District, is getting so much attention. Even The Daily Show recently had a segment talking about the congressional race going on here. I never thought the North Country could get national publicity. I wanted to post this to see what people thought about how the race was going and to get comments and opinions on the candidates.

Although Northern New York is often overlooked on the national scale, I think we touched on why the 23rd District gained national attention in class on Wednesday. Like so many other things in this country, I think this issue boils down to money. Much of the funding for the candidates for the 23rd district came from people and organizations elsewhere in the country. The 23rd District became national news because there was outside money tied up in the election.
