This article is about Boise St. football hiring a PR firm to help them get into a better BCS bowl game. It doesn’t talk a lot about that but I thought it was interesting and applied to class.
This article shows how much that college football needs a playoff system. Even Obama has spoken out against the current format. Let the teams decide who the national champion is not the teams PR firms. Corey Van Lare
Couldn't agree with you more Corey. Rankings in the big scheme shouldn't mean anything. A computer program that somehow ranks teams based on strength of schedule, game scores and a bunch of other statistics should never be the final factor as to the outcome of a season.
Let the teams decide their own fate. Correct me if I'm wrong, but football is the only NCAA sport with a national champion decided by one game after the regular season.
But on the other side, the NCAA loves the bowl system because now instead of having one big game, they have five. As a business, five games means more money than one.
