Mayonnayse vs. Miracle Whip

I found this statement made by the Miracle Whip advertisement team to be interesting. It refers to Colbert's comments regarding Miracle Whip on his show and in the statement they threaten to air multiple Miracle Whip ads during his show. While the statement is amusing it is also an ad itself, as it draws attention to Miracle Whip.

  1. Wow, this statement basically sounds like a threat coming from a 35 year old man living in his mothers basement.

  2. Lol that's funny as hell. Is that guy crazy? Mayo and miracle whip, although they have a similar use, are very different. Most people I know either like one or the other and totally hate the other. I don't think we will ever see a day where one company goes under and people no longer have the choice between mayo and miracle whip. Even with a miracle miracle whip's ads wouldn't cause mayo to become any less popular. In fact I hope the guy that wrote the letter has no part in making the ads. because I agree with the previous comment the guy sounds like a dumb loser.

  3. This is a good way for miracle whip to get attention for little to no cost. i almost never see advertisements for these things so i just found it funny.

  4. Yeah, this is very funny. I almost can't take it seriously because of how ridiculous this letter sounds with all of these corny threats like "We're on a mission. We're taking no prisoners. We're raising hell, man." Regardless, this is a pretty good way to draw attention to their product. I'm curious to know if this actually happened. Did anyone watch the Colbert Report on the 12th?

  5. I found this very funny and a great advertisement for Miracle Whip. I liked it because the attitude used is perfect for a response to Colbert. I had no clear idea what Miracle Whip was before I saw this. After I did it made me want to try it.

Also if anyone is interested here's a link to the Colbert segment it's referring to. Enjoy. http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/252726/october-15-2009/the-mayo-lution-will-not-be-televised

  6. I agree with the above comment. The reponse is perfectly fit for the Colbert Report. I think they realized that even having Colbert talk about their product will be very good advertising, since its all about name recogniton.
