Interpretion of Facebook pictures

This was an interesting article about Facebook and how people interpret your photos. It is interesting how people will make assuptions about a person based on the body language that person portrays in the photo. This is especially important when employers are scanning through Facebook. It definitely made me think of what type of photos I've accumulated over the four years I've had Facebook, so I had to go back through and untag some photos I did not want potential employers to see.

  1. This is definitely a great point on what we put online. Most of us don't think about posting a picture on facebook thinking it's solely for our friends at school. The way we're even portrayed in our pictures can offset even the greatest interview.

  3. I do watch what I post of facebook for my friends to see. Once a picture is on the net its there for good and so easy for future employers to get ahold of them. I know that when I am looking at other people's pictures I am in a way judging there actions. What may seem fun and exciting at the time can give someone a bad image of you as a person and your choice of actions. It is important to be aware of this when posting pictures on facebook or any other site that is similar.

  4. I agree that it is important to keep watch of what photos are being uploaded of yourself. However, I don't know how future employers would be able to scan through your facebook profile, especially if they are not on your friends list. Anybody outside of the Clarkson facebook network has to first be friends with you in order to browse photos.

  5. Facebook is an evil social networking site that from this article shows that it can lead to the demise of many interviewees. With times changing and facebook become a hugely critical source for future employers to get a better look into their interviewees lives many jobs can be lost. This is why i always monitor my pictures and posts on facebook.
