alibi from facebook

http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/11/12/facebook.alibi/index.html

I guess Facebook can be used for more than just keeping in touch with
friends and playing all the little games. This article shows how a
Facebook status update provided an alibi for a 19 year old accused of a
robbery in Brooklyn.
Keep your statuses updated everyone, you never know when they might come
in handy. . .

  1. Its interesting how facebook became a legitimate alibi for the accused man. Specifically the article mentions how our lives, with respect to a mass media spin, are becoming more traceable and digitally consolidated. This is just an interesting example.

  2. I think it's great for the 19 year old who wasn't prosectued for a murder he didn't committ. But for a person like me, who doesn't like to post statuses this would provide no help.
